I stayed for 3 nights and was pleasantly surprised with the decent WiFi and a cozy room for a good night's sleep, although the bathroom cleanliness left much to be desired. I'd consider staying again if I had to, but only if necessary.

The stay at Halswell Lodge was quite satisfactory, especially the clean and tidy room which contributed to a comfortable work environment. The kitchenette was a nice addition, allowing for meal preparation, and the close proximity to a variety of restaurants made dining options convenient. The location near the waterfront and main shopping center added to the overall experience.

The strong WiFi throughout the hotel was beneficial.
The kitchenette was poorly equipped with no proper cutlery or utensils, making meal preparation a hassle. the cleanliness of the kitchen area was lacking, with plates and glasses scattered throughout the cupboards. Lastly, I was disappointed with the service as I received a brief and unhelpful reply to my inquiry about a lost item.

An okay stay but needs upgrades
The location of Halswell Lodge is quite convenient, making it easy to explore nearby attractions and eateries. The staff was friendly and responsive during check-in.
Unfortunately, the room we stayed in had multiple issues, including poor lighting and a noisy environment. The cleanliness left something to be desired, especially in the common areas.

would have extended the stay.
The room had a kitchenette with a microwave and refrigerator. It included a private bathroom with free toiletries and a shower. The flat-screen TV was a nice touch, and the fan helped keep things cool. There were body soap, wine glasses, and towels provided which added comfort. The spa bath looked tempting too!

The strong WiFi throughout the hotel made it easy to stay connected during my stay, and I snagged a free upgrade to a spacious family suite with a jacuzzi, which was a real treat after the initial hiccup.
Ripped wallpaper, poor lighting, and an outdated kitchen made it feel more like a cheap hangar than a proper room. Paying for parking felt like a final sting, especially for the price point of $150 per night. it just didn’t align with the value offered.

I was a solo traveler, and while the location was heaps convenient, the cleanliness could’ve been way better—had some dodgy stains around. Chur to the friendly reception, though!

The location was spot on! Within minutes, you could hit up amazing eateries and bars. Staff was welcoming, which always makes a difference! Having a gym next door was a nice bonus.
The housekeeping could be better—some cleaning needed here and there, especially in the kitchen area. The parking situation was a bit annoying, as we had to keep feeding the meter early on Sundays.

Had a great time with my friends here! Super close to the city, we loved visiting the museum and catching a show nearby. The staff was friendly, and we appreciated the compact room setup which was cozy for our group. Proximity to transport made our adventure easy and stress-free.
One drawback was the parking situation. we found it tricky with limited spots available, having to circle around a bit before finding a place. the kitchen facilities could use a bit more attention for cleaning.
